We are a group of endurance athletes that want to make a difference in the quality of lives in Haiti after the devastating earthquake.
We plan to run/hike from the south rim of the Grand Canyon to the north rim and then retrace our steps all the way back. Our goal is to complete this 48 mile adventure within one day.
Please contribute to this cause that we feel so strongly about. Operation Rainbow's orthopedic surgery teams are self-sufficient - involving surgeons, anesthesiologists, post-anesthesia nurses, surgical technicians, translators and coordinators - but the disaster in Haiti meant cooperation with international teams on all levels of patient care.
The result was a collaborative and successful effort to treat hundreds of life-threatening orthopedic and trauma related injuries.
They could not do this without the support of donors like you!
When Haiti needed the world, the world responded. And your donations helped us to help Haitians. The effort in Haiti is far from over, however. The immediate disaster warrants life-saving surgeries and treatment, but definitive care to improve the quality of life in the quake's aftermath is what will ensure affected Haitian citizens can resume a life of function. For this, Operation Rainbow will need continued funding and supply donations.
Please contribute whatever you can. Together we can make a difference.
