About This Activity

About This Activity

Help Protect African wildlife! Did you know....

  • A comprehensive 2016 study revealed that there are fewer than 400,000 African elephants remaining in the wild?
  • That one rhinoceros is killed every 7 – 8 hours?
  • The African lion population declined 43% in the last 21 years with only about 20,000 remaining in the wild?
  • That a 2016 demonstrated the cheetah population has plummeted to about 7,100?

At current rates of decline, we could lose them in our lifetime.

This USATF-Certified 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run helps protect imperiled African wildlife, including elephants, rhinos, and big cats. Please join our fun, family-friendly and educational event to help fund conservation and anti-poaching efforts. All race proceeds will be donated to the following organizations:

  • Wildlife Protection Solutions
  • The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
  • Fundimvelo Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage

Help ensure that these iconic and charismatic animals are preserved for generations to come. Your children and grandchildren will thank you!!
