Run the River City in this FAST and flat course along the Tennessee River in Decatur, Alabama. The course is USATF certified and begins on historic Bank Street in front of the Old State Bank which predates the Civil War. Travel along the Dr. Bill Sims bike trail to Point Mallard Park with breathtaking views of the beautiful river side. The race turns around at Point Mallard Park and ends back in historic downtown Decatur. Many of our past participants have reported personal records both on the half-marathon course and running the 5k relay.
FREE Chick-Fil-A, Pepsi products, and other food/drinks for all participants after the race. Enjoy entertainment and official cheering stations along the course.
This event kicks off the day's events for Carnegie Carnival. All proceeds raised go to bringing art to everyone through the Carnegie Visual Arts Center, a 501c3 non-profit.
Participants may register to run the entire half-marathon distance (13.1 miles) or may register as a relay team, with each team member running at least one 5k (3.1 mile) leg.
