The Decatur Kiwanis Club is holding its annual fund-raising Pancake Day for the 50th year on Feb. 27. Money raised in the event supports community service projects and has totaled more than $1 million over the years.
This race is being held in conjunction with Pancake Day to help celebrate its 50th year. All money raised by the race will be combined with other Pancake Day earnings. Primary beneficiaries of the 2016 Pancake Day will be the Neighborhood Christian Center and Hospice of the Valley, both in Decatur. Proceeds also will benefit other community non-profit groups.
