Major Taylor Cycling Club of Dayton will host their 15th annual Major Taylor Signature Bike Ride
There are 4 routes (17, 40, metric century and century) and a 5-10 mile family fun ride. The routes are open to all ages (though those under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult AND a parent or guardian is required to accompany all participants 12 years or under on the family ride). A guided family fun ride will begin at 9:30 am. There will also be a bike rodeo for smaller children at the start location (parents must be present for participation).
The routes will be flat to rolling hills. After the 1st rest stop the route becomes more challenging for the 40, metric century and century. The route takes you through Dayton, Moraine, Jefferson, West Carrollton, Farmersville, Lewisburg, Brookville and back to Dayton.
- The 17 and 40 mile riders may start at 6:30am to 8:30am.
- Metric and Century riders will need to start at 6:30am to be at Ketcher Park by 10am.
- The century route includes a challenging hilly loop through Germantown Township.
Early bird registration is $40 and ends March 8th. Early Registration, $45, is March 8 - July 2, 2022 After July 2nd, registration is $50.The family ride is $5. Scholarships are availabie for the family ride. please email the club should you need one.
Lunch is not guarenteed for those who register after July 2. This year we will have 2 food trucks offering a post ride meal (Family ride participants will be able to order grilled items from Agnes Food Truck only).
All participants will receve a T-shirt or other SWAG item if registered by midnight Sunday June 19th. There will be limited items and sizes if register after June 19th.
Ride includes 5 rest stops and SAG support. This year all rest stops will be stocked with Gatorade as well as a variety of snacksCue sheets may be printed by riders. No preprinted cue sheets will be provided at the event. This year's designated Charity for the 2022 Signature ride is the Dakota Center (https://dakotacenter.org/)which offers programs to engage all ages in the Dayton Community, incuding after school, summer and senior citizen activities.
