About this event
Knitting is an ancient and practical textile art. Practicing it improves dexterity and spatial reasoning. It can even be meditative! In this class students will learn the fundamentals of knitting, which go beyond knit stitch, purl stitch, and reading a pattern. Knitting teaches creative thinking and sticktoitiveness. It teaches you to never stop learning, accept that you will make mistakes, and get comfortable with starting over. Each student will take home some practice needles and yarn so that they can work on their new skills every week.
