A lifelong basketball fan, Maile played varsity point guard and aspired to be like her heroes, Muggsy Bogues and the late NBA great "Pistol" Pete Maravich.
In addition to playing basketball, running, hiking, and trying new fun and challenging fitness activities, Maile officiates high school basketball in the San Diego area.
