Tai Chi is a gentle, flowing, meditative-style of exercise that produces greater energy and ease for the body, mind and spirit. This wonderful healthy exercise is appropriate for both men and women.

We welcome all levels of ability. From the person who has never taken a Tai Chi class to the 20 year veteran, everyone is welcome.

Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.

Tai Chi Benefits:

- Improved Health
- Tai Chi helps to control High Blood pressure.
- It is proven to help prevent diabetes, an epidemic in this country.
- Reduces stress, one of the great obstacles to wellbeing.
- Promotes balance and flexibility, Improved balance and fall prevention
- May help to prevent and treat the increased incidence of dementia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease, etc.

With the skyrocketing cost of health care, Tai Chi practice is increasingly recognized by health experts to be the most effective preventive, rehabilitative, and cost-effective health care exercise you can do.

For example, recently, Cindy, one of our Tai Chi students who had gone in to physical therapy for a badly sprained ankle informed me that she needed to come back to class; the doctor had prescribed the same exercises we do in class...

Brenda, a Tai Chi class regular, had trouble walking up the flight of stairs when she started. Her balance wasn't good. Brenda said she now walks up no problem, without the aid of the hand rail!

Question: Why is Tai Chi practice the #1 choice of exercise in the world for health and wellbeing?

Answer: The slow motion Tai Chi movement, seemingly effortless, works and conditions not just all the muscles, joints, and ligaments of the body, but it also does this to the vital internal organs along the spine. The BIG difference is that it does it gently, with little impact or strain unlike most other forms of exercise.

Question: How does Tai Chi promote wellbeing for a longer, healthier, and happier life?

Answer: The biggest downfall and downward spiral for us as we age is the greater chances of falling. Once people fall, they can suffer expensive damage and / or become more frail. The worst part is that with falls, people move less, because of the fear of falling again.

Without regular movement, our health and the ability to move deteriorates rapidly. As a result we lose our independence, our ability to take care of ourselves without assistance; which few of us can afford.

Since Tai Chi practice greatly improves balance, it is one of the best fall prevention 'insurance policies.

The other component of a long healthy life is our mental functions and the social benefits. The brain is stimulated and kept 'tuned up' by the exercise, learning new moves, and being mindful in the moment, and promoting the mind-body connection. As social beings, practicing with others is also of great psychological benefit.

Come relax with us! Great for Men and Women of any age.
