Preschool Aquatics teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. There are no prerequisites for this course. The objective of PS I is to help children feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. In PS I, elementary aquatic skills are taught, which children build on as they progress through the preschool Aquatics and Red Cross levels. In this class, children also start developing good attitudes and safe practices around the water.
We are striving to provide the safest swim lesson possible at this time. We are running a modified swim lesson program this fall. We are REQUIRING a parent to be in the water with every child. Swim lessons instructors will not have any direct contact with the students/parents. Student/parents should strive to maintain social distancing as much as possible. We are requiring masks to enter the facility, however do not require them once you enter the locker rooms/pool area. We will not allow masks in the water during lessons. We ask that you do not bring any additional people with you; lessons are limited to the student and parent participation only. The wading pool and spa will not be available before/during/after lessons. Locker rooms will be available for use, but please note, we are not able to clean them between classes and lockers will not be available.
