For Iowa artist Grant Wood, the summer of 1941 was spent in the north-central Iowa town of Clear Lake. He rented a cabin on the north shore of the lake and used a deserted train depot for his studio. He spent time working on two paintings and a lithograph, yet had time to socialize with the residents and tourists in this popular vacation town. Relive this special summer with speaker Paul Juhl, and find out more about life for Grant Wood in 1941, the final summer of his life.
