Instructor: Andrew Frueh Minecraft is more than a game, it is a sandbox for exploring your creativity, and now it is being leveraged as an educational tool within schools and libraries. In this level 2 class, we will learn how to build a robot that can do any automated task you can imagine (mining, farming, destroying villages, you name it). In this class, students will be writing real code in a language called Lua. We will go over how to install Minecraft Forge, and the Computercraft mod. This is hard-core Minecraft! • You will need: your own computer with Minecraft installed and ready to go (If you aren't ready to purchase Minecraft, you can download a demo version from Mojang ( a basic knowledge of Minecraft (this is not for new users)

The Columbus Idea Foundry is Ohio’s largest community workshop, maker space, and learning center.  We offer variety of conventional and high tech tools: wood shop, metal smithing and foundry, laser cutter & engraver, CNC ShopBot, electronics, jewelry, warm glass, photography, and more.
