Instructor: Stephen Takacs With a cigar box and a little ingenuity, students in this workshop will create a pinhole camera capable of making amazing photographs. Participants will learn and practice the basics of exposing and safely developing pinhole photographs in the CIF darkroom. All students will leave with a camera and a list of resources they can utilize to continue making pinhole photographs on their own. No previous darkroom experience is necessary! About the Instructor: Instructor bio line | Stephen Takacs is a photography instructor at The Ohio State University Department of Art and a core member of the OSU STEAM Factory. His most current project, Target Six-16, is a portable room-sized camera obscura that is touring the country. Questions? Email

About This Organizer

The Columbus Idea Foundry is Ohio’s largest community workshop, maker space, and learning center.  We offer variety of conventional and high tech tools: wood shop, metal smithing and foundry, laser cutter & engraver, CNC ShopBot, electronics, jewelry, warm glass, photography, and more.
