Prerequisite - Free Skate 3

High level Power increases skating power with 30-minutes of constant on-ice movement. Students gain strength, endurance, agility, and speed.

Welcome to Sertich Ice Center's Summer Learn to Skate program!

Summer lessons run for six weeks and take place on Saturdays; July 18, 25, August 1, 8, 15 and 22. Please plan to arrive at Sertich at least 10 minutes before your first lesson. This will allow for time to select and lace your ice skates. Skate boots should provide a snug fit. Your foot should not move around inside the boot. The closer the fit, the more control you will have. Feet will feel best in light weight socks. Clothing such as sweats or warm-ups are ideal. Remember to bring gloves. Helmets are highly recommended for all lessons. Sertich does not supply rental helmets.

Free practice ice for students takes place on Saturdays from 10:10 - 10:40 AM. Practicing is for your benefit and it's free. Friends and family can skate for $1.

Students receive three free public skate visits with registration. Visits must be used during the summer session. Just check in with the cashier at the front desk. Students enrolled in Pre-Free Skate or above receive two free figure skating session visits to be used during the summer Learn to Skate program.
Use your free practice ice and free public skate or freestyle passes during the summer session. Passes are automated. Check in with the cashier at the front desk before the session begins and a visit will be deducted from your account.
