Event details and schedule

17th JUNE 2017

Dear Participant

Firstly let us take this opportunity to thank you for signing up to our Tour this year, we are really looking forward to welcoming you to Clonakilty on the 17th. Our main aim is for all cyclists to have a safe enjoyable day on the roads of West Cork. Set out below are a few guidelines which will help make your day an enjoyable one.

Each Cyclist must Sign-on before they take part in the cycle, this is an insurance requirement. Registration & Sign-on will be at our headquarters & starting point which is the Quality Hotel, Clonakilty. Registration will be open on Friday 16th from 1930hrs to 2030hrs and on Saturday morning from 0630 to 0730. There will be a briefing at 0740 at the start line. At sign-on you will receive a pack containing your wristband. It is very important to put on your wristband once you get it as this is your ID number, our EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER is also on this band, this number is the number to ring if you have any issues on the day & we will then direct the appropriate people to you. Your wristband will also gain you entry into the food stops, entry to Clonakilty Park Leisure Centre once you get finished for a deserving Jacuzzi (bring your own towel) and last but not least your post event meal in Lanigans Restaurant!! To help you along the way we will serve all participants a bowl of Flahavans Porridge before the start.   The cycle will start at 0800hrs SHARP. Parking for the event will be well sign posted and stewards will be on hand to assist in whatever way possible.

As I am sure you are all aware this is a SPORTIVE and NOT a race, the roads are open so please respect this and follow the rules of the road at all times. It is also vital that both you & your bike are in top condition to take on this spectacular cycle. Get your bike serviced prior to the event to ensure this is the case, your bike will be checked on entry to the racking area and anyone found to have an unroadworthy bike will not be permitted to take part. Helmets once again are compulsory.

Once again THANK YOU for supporting our event & we hope you have a great day in WEST CORK.
