Hands Across the Harbor is a community walk, run, and biking event with the goal of bringing together Charlotte County residents to celebrate the natural beauty of the harbor.
Proceeds from the Hands Across the Harbor event will benefit the youth education programs at Alligator Creek, a facility of the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center (CHEC) a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Over the past 20 years, over 2,000 students per year have participated in CHEC’s 4th Grade Field Studies programs and 2nd Grade Sea-grass Wading Adventures. Both programs have integrated classroom / field exercises that are state approved curriculum for FCAT testing.

BRIDGE EVENT - This community event is sponsored by the Charlotte Harbor and Punta Gorda Community Redevelopment Agencies to celebrate and encourage partnerships across the Harbor.

The park is located at 23151 Bayshore Road.
Pre-registration entry fee is $25.00 ($20.00 for students with ID.) Forms must be received by January 28, 2015. Same day registration is $30.00 and $25.00 for students.
Complimentary Pancake Breakfast
The Charlotte County Fire/EMS – MDA Committee will be serving a pancake breakfast for all registered participants. Tips will be accepted as donations to Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
The first 300 participants to sign up will receive a Hands Across The Harbor performance "wick-dry" t-shirt.
Awards, Drawing, Getaway Prize
There will be a drawing for door prizes for participants and awards for runners. Endurance Sports Timing will provide timing for all competitive events. All participants will receive one chance to win the Getaway Prize.
