Join us to explore the Barn Quilts of Carver County MN. Made for barns, not beds, “barn quilts” are quilt patterns painted on wooden panels that are hung on the exterior walls of historic barns or other structures. To date, there are 45+ larger than life replicas of quilt blocks throughout Carver County, MN. These beautiful pieces of artwork highlight the art of quilting while showcasing Carver County's historic agricultural icons. Impressive in size, 8'x8', appropriate for the front or side of a barn. You'll see 10+ barn quilts on this tour. Another attraction on the tour is the countryside! You'll see cattle, crops, farm equipment, old quaint barns, beautiful farm yards, gardens, pumpkin patches and more! You'll also learn about the history of Carver County, the farms and the story behind their quilt pattern. Join us for this Carver County tour, where Countryside, Community and Culture meet! Lunch buffet included at Unhinged Pizza (pizza, salad bar, hot entrees, dessert).
