Marvel at the mystery of two of Arizona’s finest national monuments. Hike the amazing trails of Walnut Canyon that pass by the ruins and ancient cave-dwellings abandoned 800 years ago. Roam among Sunset Crater’s fantastic formations carved by lava flows and tinted with blazing colors. You’ll find photo opportunities around every bend. Pack a lunch and learn from local experts about the history, ecology, geology, flora and fauna of these stunning national parks.

Activity Level: Easy / Length: .25-1.5 miles / Elevation Change: 30-370 ft.

The desert can be dry and hot. Come prepared with the things you need to be comfortable in whatever weather is expected.
