We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Junior Lifeguarding offers an exciting transition from an advanced Learn-to-Swim course to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program, and challenges participants to stay involved with aquatics. The program includes water safety and first-aid training, daily workouts, lifeguard competitions, and more. Physical fitness and skills development are balanced with self-esteem and camaraderie. This course will not certify you as a Lifeguard. Strong swim skills a must.
Participants are required to pass a non-competitive swim test. Swim front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side. Tread water for 1 minute. Float on the back for 30 seconds. Submerge and swim a distance of 10 feet underwater.
