About This Organizer

At AbilityFirst, our vision is of a society that values each individual and provides the opportunity for all people to lead full and productive lives throughout their lifetime. For nearly 90 years, we have been looking beyond disabilities, focusing on capabilities, and expanding possibilities.  AbilityFirst provides a broad spectrum of services for children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities, including life skills development, social and recreational activities, job training and employment, a fully accessible camp, and housing. Most AbilityFirst programs qualify for funding through the state-supported Regional Centers. However, government support provides only about half of the dollars necessary to deliver high quality programs and services. As a nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on the generous support of donors like you who share our vision. More information about the ways in which AbilityFirst is helping children and adults with disabilities to achieve rich and fulfilling lives can be found online at abilityfirst.org.
