The Kid’s Dash will begin at 3 pm followed by the start of the featured 5K.
Competitive vs Recreational
This race will offer each entrant in the 5K a choice of being a competitive or recreational entrant. Here is the difference: Competitive entrants are those who wish to be eligible for awards or just want to receive an official time. Recreational entrants are those who don’t care about being eligible for awards and do not want an official time. However, there will be a digital clock at the finish line where each entrant can see their finish time.
The entry fee for the 5K is $25, increasing to $30 after April 15. The fee for the kid’s dash is $5 with no late fee. All those registering for the 5K by April 15th will be guaranteed a t-shirt. After that date t-shirts will be “as available.”
Late registration/packet pickup
Late entrants can register and late entrants can pick up their packets at the Alzheimer’s North Carolina office located at 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27609 on Thursday, April 25, from 12 noon to 7 pm and also on Friday, April 26, from noon to 7 pm. Late entrants can also register and late entrants can also pick up their packets on race day at WakeMed Soccer park beginning at 1:45 pm.
In the 5K prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in each of the following age groups; (both sexes)14-under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65-over.
Profits from the race will benefit Alzheimer’s North Carolina, which is dedicated to providing education, support and services to individuals with dementia, their families, health care professionals and the general public while raising awareness and funding for research of a cause(s), treatment, prevention and cure for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. 100% of all funds will remain in North Carolina.
