Join us for a fun, highly-active, informational/instructional camp on "all things running." Sessions during each day of the three-day camp will include teaching the fundamentals of both Cross Country and Track & Field, and of course, a workout. Additionally, beginner and intermediate level instruction will be given on the technical aspects of track & field events as well as key training attributes that all aspiring young runners need to know. Be ready to run! Target age groups include rising 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders.
The camp will be lead by Wire2Wire Running's Coach David Matherne, a two-time National Champion miler, and Coach Matt Terry, a former FSU track star quarter-miler and high jumper. Collectively with over 40 years of Cross Country and Track & Field coaching experience between them, both have a wealth of knowledge in all things running. Additionally, multiple guest instructors & speakers will also be present over the course of the three (3) days.
What's Needed: Besides a great attitude, bring your running shoes & water bottle! Campers will also want to bring a towel and a dry shirt and/or change of clothes to change into. Backpacks are welcome.
