Owen Anderson's Running Camp is the only running event in the world which features a full program of running-form optimization and running-specific strength training - which make runners stronger, faster, and more injury resistant. The camp is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels. Owen Anderson, Ph. D., the author of Running Science and the Race Director of the Lansing Marathon, provides instruction in all phases of running. The camp is nestled in the mountains of West Virginia and surrounded by beautiful lakes and trails and amazing running locations. vVO2max sessions are conducted on a nearby track. Three organic, gourmet meals are served each day, and attendees stay in comfortable, air-conditioned lodges. Day Three - Themes for the Day: Running-specific strength training, how to conduct vVO2max training. Watch sun come up during inspiring morning trail run, cruise to top of nearby mountain peak in afternoon. Three more top-flight meals, plus video analysis of running form
Day Four: Themes for Day: Hill training and injury prevention. Morning and afternoon classes with Owen, plus hill work on Mt Baldy in morning, afternoon fartlek session on beautiful roadways. Three more peerless meals
Day Five - Themes for the Day: Explosive training and sports nutrition. Learn the 10 best drills for becoming a faster runner and how to incorporate speed work into your overall program. Carry out lactate-stacker workout on Maple Hill and afternoon run to fire tower atop Mt Aurora. Enjoy three more incomparable meals
Day Six - Themes for the Day: Special topics (recovery, cross training, preventing most common running injuries), plus wrap-up of week. Final run at historic Oak Hollow Creek; 1 PM check-out
