About This Activity

AECOM 100: The charity cycling event for construction industry professionals.

Following the success of the last nine years’ events, AECOM would again like to invite construction industry colleagues to join us on our ride through the rolling countryside of South Cambridgeshire, North Essex and North Hertfordshire.

The ride

Our informal cycle ride offers a choice of two routes along quiet country roads. One route is approximately 50km and the other 100km. Both routes start and finish near the centre of Cambridge. Riders can select a starting the right group to suit their fitness level and bike style to provide a sociable ride together.

We’ll organise everything, provide some en-route refreshments, and get a barbeque lunch ready for everyone at the finishing post.

AECOM 100 is primarily a relaxed and informal event, but we are also taking the opportunity to support local charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and the international life-saving training charity RedR.

Please share this registration page with your colleagues.

Event details and schedule

The routes

The start and finish for the ride is at the Cass Centre, Cambridge University Press campus off Brooklands Avenue near the centre of Cambridge.

www.cambridge.org/casscentre

There are two routes to cater for a wide range of abilities. One at 50km and one at 100km. A map of the route along with refreshment stop location and course hazards will be provided before the event as an electronic format and on the day as a pocket sized booklet. To aid navigation the course will also be fully sign posted.

The groups

The only choice to be made during registration is to decide which route to do, the 100km or the 50km. This gives us an indication of how many riders will be on each course, however you are welcome to change on the day (although note the different registration times).

To give the best opportunity to ride with AECOM hosts or colleagues, on the day riders can choose their predicted time to complete the course. Groups will be limited to a maximum of 15 riders.
