taught by Marika Hahn Imaginations will run wild as we design and draw our own characters. We’ll have books on hand for inspiration including Where the Wild things Are, There’s a Nightmare in My Closet, and Little Monsters. We’ll talk about how Sendak combined different characteristics of animals such as beaks, fur, scales, claws and wild manes of hair. We’ll decide where our monsters will live and what they will need such as wings if they fly, scales if they swim, beaks or teeth etc. Children can draw cuddly, scary, ferocious, tame, well dressed or pajama wearing creatures. There will be no end to the creativity explored in this fun workshop! Little matchbook style take home books with decorative covers will be made along with a mask. Working in colored pencil, pen and ink and watercolor paint, our creations will be delightful keepsakes. *Please note, there will be no class Feb 16. **There IS class on Jan 19. *Auto-pay installment plan is optional. **Want school pickup until 4:30 or 6 pm?
