We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Friday, November 20, 2020.
Bridge to Freestyle is a group skating class for skaters who have passed into Basic Skills level 5 (or are instructor placed), and are working on advancing into the Freeskate levels of USFSA figure skating. The basics are emphasized, while jumps and spins are introduced! This class also teaches figure skaters the rules for freestyle sessions, and prepares them for the possibility of participating in future ice shows or competitions.
Skaters are required to be registered members with Learn to Skate USA. The skating program we are associated with is named Breck Skating School. This is an annual registration that needs renewal in July of every year to participate in our skating programs. See site below to sign up as a Learn to Skate member.
Classes are held on the indoor rink, which is approximately 48 degrees, so please dress in warm, comfortable clothing. Mittens or gloves and snow pants are highly recommended for never-ever skaters as they may spend some time on the ice while learning to skate.
