About this event

Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, May 22, 2021.

The Friends of Breckenridge Trails is a program designed to provide an opportunity for locals and visitors to participate in the upkeep of the fragile habitats, open spaces, and trail systems unique to the Town of Breckenridge. Through volunteer efforts, Town open spaces, trails, historic sites, and ecologically sensitive areas are maintained and restored, thereby creating fun opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and abilities

A typical work day will end around 2:00 p.m. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Participants should bring their own mask, lunch, gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, sturdy footwear, and a water bottle. All other materials will be provided by the Town. The Town requests each volunteer fill out a waiver prior to the trail work, which is included in this registration along with a COVID-19 pledge.

Please join The Nature Conservancy on May 22 in planting over 2,000 aspen seedlings at the Barney Ford site. Be a part of this new forest health project to protect neighborhoods from high-severity wildfires and increase tree diversity in forest habitats. Work Meter: Light to Moderate.

What is your superhero power? Sign up for your superhero group from Captain Planet and the Planeteers: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Heart.

Meeting location for this event is at the Barney Ford Clear Cut on Baldy Road near the intersection with Boreas Pass Rd. Park along the edge of the road and a member of the Open Space crew will meet each group. Map
