Description
Learning Music Rhythms is designed to give beginning and intermediate musicians the skills they need to recognize and execute rhythmic patterns accurately in music, and to help them move beyond rote memorization and repetition strategies in the learning of new music. Each week the class will learn and practice new rhythmic patterns, starting from the very basic and progressing each week to increasingly difficult sequences. In this way, students will gain a detailed knowledge of musical rhythm and notation, they will be able to prepare their music more independently, and be better prepared for the partnership of the studio.
