The Holiday of Lights Festival has been a tradition for the City of Bluefield, West Virginia since 1997. With over 1,300,000 lights on 40+ acres of land this coming season, the display is sure to be promising for the two Virginias. In addition to this year’s festival, we will be hosting our first Holiday of Lights 5KChallenge! We hope that you will join us on this festive run filled with dazzling lights, Christmas tunes, and holiday costumes. There will be prizes for the most creative costumes, so dress in your Christmas best! Yes, you can wear a Christmas Tree!

Holiday of Lights 5K Challenge Saturday, November 20, 2021.
Be the first to see the Holiday of Lights!!!! For the first time, the Holiday of Lights 5K Challenge will be before Thanksgiving.
Register early, the first 100 participants to preregister will receive an event t-shirt.
Event parking will be in the parking lot near the tennis courts in City Park located at 1780 Stadium Drive Bluefield, WV 24701.
The race start/finish will also be near the tennis courts in City Park.
We are excited to have an automated timing system so results can be posted quickly.
Day of race registration opens at 3:30pm and closes at 5:00pm. The challenge begins at 5:30pm.
Following the event, there be an awards ceremony at the youth center auditorium where it is nice and warm.
There will be prizes for the most creative costumes, so dress in your Christmas best! Yes, you can wear a Christmas Tree!
