Jewelry/Metalsmithing: Intermediate Instructor: Janice Degen
If you are an advanced jewelry and metalsmithing student that is interested in continuing a project or designing and executing a new project, this class is for you. Further development of technical skills and motivation will be the primary focus of this summer studio. Design procedures and various techniques will be discussed throughout the semester. This class is not appropriate for beginners.
Prerequisite: The completion of a beginning and intermediate jewelry/metals class including torch soldering.

Metals/Jewelry Department Students All Jewelry/Metals students pay a fee to cover supplies, and the use of tools/studio
equipment during the class periods. All students are strongly encouraged to wear a mask
in the metals studio.
Materials list of items to bring: -Please bring a small notebook and pencil to class
-Wear close-toed shoes and long pants
-Bring your own safety goggles, or you can share the studio goggles
-Keep hair pulled back
