FootGolf, a soccer-golf hybrid that is gaining in popularity across the country, will be offered at Lincoln Hills Golf Course beginning on Saturday - Oct 25th. FootGolf is a very "addictive" sport that combines the best of the popular sport of soccer with an elite sport like golf. Similiar to golf, players' intent is to kick a ball into the hole with the least amount of strokes possible. FootGolf uses the basic model of golf, with a tee box, a green, bunkers and hazards and 9 or 18 holes of play. There is a Par for each hole, mimicking golf's scorecards, and you still play as a twosome, threesome or foursome. The main differences are the cups, which are 21 inches in diameter, shorter holes (most people can kick a soccer ball farther than 50 yards) and the lack of equipment needed (no need to carry around heavy golf clubs in FootGolf.) The sport will by offered at Lincoln Hills Golf Course on Saturdays (beginning Oct 25th) from 10 am to 4 pm, weather permitting. The fee is $10 for 9-holes nad $18 for 18-holes. Players may bring their own #5 soccer ball or rent one for $5. Soccer cleats are prohibited. Players are encouraged to call Lincoln Hills to reserve their tee time at (248) 530-1670. Everyone is welcome! For juniors that are under 12 years of age, they must be accompanied by a playing adult.
