The Friends of Bexley Community Gardens has two locations for gardening; 1) The South Gardens (located at Ferndale and Mayfield Place just North of Livingston Ave.) and 2) The North Gardens (By the Bexley Police Department off of Delmar). This program is collaboration between the community gardeners and City of Bexley. Its? purpose is to provide Bexley residents, as well as neighboring communities, with a place to garden and promote friendship. Gardeners are expected to help maintain their beds and surrounding paths and are required to comply with the Garden Rules.
There are 4-6 Master Gardeners available throughout the season. They will provide education on a variety of garden topics from April to September as well as assistance with the start of your garden. You will have access to water stations, a garden shed with tools, and compost.
Raised garden beds at the North Garden are 8 ft x 14ft. South Garden plots will be reconfigured in 2020. They will also be in raised garden beds with similar square footage. Garden bed assignments are subject to availability and confirmation of compliance with registration rules. New gardeners should be able to start gardening in their raised bed(s) on April 1.
