Fun and exciting introduction to stone lithography. During this class we will learn basics of stone lithography using a reliable method of photocopy image transfer. We will take time to collage, arrange and transfer xerox photocopies onto lithographic stones using non-toxic transfer methods. We will cover topics of traditional preparation, etching and printing of a lithograph on stone in black ink. Participants will work in pairs to print on Kala's two lithography presses. Come prepared to experiment with fresh xerox photocopies you would like to use for your project. Participants will walk away with a small edition of their print. Sat & Sun, Jan 25 - 26 • 10am-5pm $30 Materials Fee payable to the teacher on the first day of class Instructor Bio: Leyla Rzayeva is an Azerbaijani and Russian American artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
