Description: Did you know that you are Unique? Learn about your special gifts as you learn about great Americans’ stories from Texas that came before you that made America a great place for you to live and grow. Learn about ways you can make an impact in others lives and your community by using your unique gifts! Crafts Kids will have the opportunity to make patriotic craft items that can impact their local community members that are currently receiving medical care in nursing homes, the V.A., and McLane Children’s Hospital. Campers will write letters and create cards to thank our local Veterans. Food Healthy Food Healthy You! Create great snack ideas for your family’s 4th of July Celebration! Learn about what our founding fathers families first ate here in America. Bell County Museum We will welcome the staff from the Bell County Museum as they bring items from our Bell County Past and share ideas on how we can impact the future. When was Belton born? Are there any Famous people from Bell County? What was life like for kids when Bell County began? What did kids wear to school back then? What did they like to eat? Bob Bullock Museum Spend the day at the Museum and also see our State’s Capitol. Grade 1 thru 3 will be using an activity guide that prompts students to find personal connections, make comparisons, analyze artifacts, and reach creative decisions in the galleries. Grades 4 thru 7 will use an activity guide with their team leader that leads students through the Museum in six activities that analyze artifacts and exhibitions, focusing on how jobs, people and industry shaped Texas over time. 4th Of July Grand Pre Parade and Celebration
