About This Activity

The Hoka Runher Coastal Challenge is on one of the most scenic of loughshore path routes threading its way between Holywood and Bangor in Northern Ireland and a great way to begin the Bank Holiday weekend on Friday evening, 24th May. Choose from a 5K (18:30 start), a 10K (19:15 start) and a half-marathon (18:30 start).

Indeed, the half marathon is the only women's-only half marathon in the UK & Ireland this year and one of only three in the whole of Europe. The emphasis is on participation and community, and you can enjoy a barbecue in the grounds of Crawfordsburn Country Park afterwards.

Our website www.runher.co.uk is currently being updated and will have more information in the next couple of weeks.

Entry to the event includes chip timing, Runher ladies fitted tee, Runher goody bag and Pure Running/Apex vouchers.

Event details and schedule

The 5k starts at Rockport School at 18.30. Entry is £16 until 28th February 2019 then £20 from 1st March.

The 10k starts at Seapark, Holywood at 19.15. Entry is £16 until 28th February then £20 from 1st March.

The half marathon starts at the Dirty Duck bar and restaurant, Holywood at 18.30. Entry is £25 until 28th February 2019 then £30 from 1st March.

All events run along the coastal path and finish at Crawfordsburn Country Park. The half marathon will continue on as far as Bangor before turning back to finish at Crawfordsbrun.

All entry fees include chip timing, event t-shirt and goody bag, and the half marathon also includes a special event medal.

Pack collection will be at Pure Running, 60 Wellington Place, Belfast on Wednesday and Thursday 22nd and 23rd May and also at Seapark, Holywood on race day. Finer details to follow.

There will be buses provided to transport participants back to their respective start points, AFTER the run. We would encourage reaching the start line by public transport or car sharing where possible.

Look forward to seeing you there!
