The Basalt High School Longhorn Stampede has been running for a while now and it takes place at the Basalt High School on Saturday, May 21st, 2016. This event has been created to bring attention to the build-up of cultural diversity and participation from the student body and community. Often, the Basalt High School Longhorn Stampede has been defined as a mud run filled with a set of obstacles around the premise of the school with plenty of fun. It starts on the track and after one loop, you're headed into the actual obstacle course which features a tire gaunlet, hay bail climb, a plunge in the dugouts, several mud pits, and a giant waterslide. Once you're finished with the race, feel free to join us at the tailgate. You don't want to miss out!
Thank you to all of our sponsors including Lions Clubs International, Alpine Bank, Basalt Fire Department, and more.
