What's Included

I've never met a kid who doesn't enjoy a good scavenger hunt. Each day's clues will lead us on a bike tour through and around the bike paths, parks and natural areas of Basalt. Along the way we'll explore the workings of our natural environment, and observe clues to the human history of Basalt. Before moving on to each next clue, the group will perform team building activities, nature art, historical fiction writing, science experiments and more. In the end, each participant will have 39 journal entries, and will have earned a sweet final surprise! You Bring: bike (20" wheel or larger), helmet, water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, lunch, snack, rain jacket. Prerequisite: Participants must be able to ride a bike comfortably on paved bike paths, up and down small hills, and on bumpy terrain. Instructor-Garry Pfaffmann
