Machine learning is helping doctors diagnose patients more accurately, make predictions about patients' future health, and recommend better treatments. BioCode will provide exposure to machine learning concepts for middle school students through hands-on activities. The students will code in Python on Google Colab (a notebook-style coding platform) and create a machine learning model that predicts breast cancer. On the last two days, students will choose a public medical dataset to build their own machine learning model. This camp is led by student facilitators from the IMSA AI Med Project Team under the direction of IMSA faculty advisors.
