One of Ireland's biggest triathlon based in Athlone in the heart of Ireland, incoporating a swim in the River Shannon, transition on the west shore side of the river, with a south Roscommon bike route, and a spectactular town centre run with a specially contstructed finish area in the picturesique medival oldtown behind Athlone castle on the left bank. triAthlone is world renowned for its atmosphere on the run route and finish area.
