Thank you for entering the Inaugural Mud Volleyball for A Cure Tournament. Your team’s release form is enclosed.
It is very important that Team Captain or Contact person check in for players on their team by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15; late teams will not be allowed to play. Please note change of location for check in on Saturday.
Only one person (Team Captain or Contact Person) need be present to check in the entire team.

Completed Release Forms Turned in at Check – In: EVERY individual team member must sign the release form, or they will not be allowed to play. One form is enclosed; feel free to make copies if needed. (All players can sign one form; however, if it is easier for you to get the signatures by making copies and having each person sign their own form, that’s OK too.) The signature and complete address of each player is required, and team members under the age of 19 must also have the signature of their parent or legal guardian. Bring the completed release form with you to check in.
Please make sure all information on the release form is complete and legible. We do NOT sell, give away, or share this information with anyone outside County for A Cure.
T-shirts - The team’s T-shirts will be given to the Team Captain or Contact Person at check in. Please verify that you receive all t-shirts that you ordered while you are at check-in.
Roster changes - Player substitutions can be made during check in. Substitute players receive the T-shirt size ordered by the person they are replacing.
Players may be added to your team during Check-In ($20 per player); but they will not receive a T-shirt.
TOURNAMENT LOCATION: Swan Creek Park, south of Athens High School, Athens, AL).
Team Captain Meeting: Mandatory Team Captain meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the pavilion closest to the playing area.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY: First play begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15th. Schedule of play available at Check-In.
Team Captains will be expected to wear identification (provided during check in) at all times. Only the Team Captain may talk with the referee or tournament officials.
Each team’s captain is to check and sign the scorecard at the end of each game. The captain from the winning team will be responsible for delivering the scorecard to the announcer’s table.
SCORING & TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE Rally scoring (a point is scored on every serve) will be used again this year. A game consists of 15 points. Top two teams in each pool will play one game to determine pool winner. Pool winners advance to the divisional playoffs. A playoff match consists of best of two out of three games.
TEAM PHOTOS: Please bring your camera this year. We will not furnish team photos as in past years.
OFFICIAL RULES All participants are expected to abide by the rules of this Tournament.
