Class begins with 3 simple steps of a mindfulness practice and strategies for positive coping skills. Flowing into a rhythmical and uplifting practice using a soft chi ball which helps to focus the mind and position the body in conjunction with the movements, the class transitions into a cardiovascular segment, which involves moving the ball and your body together with synchronized breathing and selective standing yoga postures, followed by floor stretches and relaxation. Class is designed to allow and encourage students to feel a sense of focus, calmness and empowerment.
The instructor's background is in nursing, medical massage therapy, early childhood education, Certified Yoga teacher & children's yoga teacher through the yoga alliance specializing in Autism, Special Needs and PTSD.
