9TH ANNUAL 5K MEMORIAL RUN - FAMILY FOCUSED TIMED RACE & GREAT SILENT AUCTION!

OUTSTANDING PRIZES!

The scholarship fund (ACSF) and memorial run was established in 2011.  Over $95K in scholarships have been awarded to students playing student lacrosse athletes in pursuit of education.  In October 2018 the ACSF will benefit the AACC Foundation AND Archbishop Spalding High School Scholorship Fund.  The AACC Foundation and Archbishop Spalding High School will award one scholarship each to a worthy student.  He/She will be selected by a team of AACC and ASH adminstrators based on a list of pre-outlined criteria.  Each AACC and AHS recipient can only be a one time receiver of this scholarship.

Al's Run, the only fundraiser for the ACSF, is lucky to set up a picturesque course at Anne Arundel Community College (just minutes from Al's hometown of Annapolis). This location is central to most local highways and holds importance in that many friends, family, and new runners can travel at ease to this location.

The memorial run is a family focused, timed event which awards first place participants in male/female age catagories.  It continues to be supported by the surrounding communities and it is an exciting experience that will help keep the spirit of Al - who also ran in road races as well as for fitness.  Al's Run is in its' 9th year as a not-for-profit.  All fundraising is donated to (2) endowments set up in Al's name.  Based on financial projections, this is event will have its' final debut in year 10 - as the necessary fundraising will be completed and endowments will be established.

Scholarships are selected by the institutional board and/or administration independent of the ACSF friends and family.
