What's Included

We will order the materials for you, for self-study or form your own group. The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation by Jeff Cavins, Tim Gray, and Sarah Christmyer This is the foundational study in The Great Adventure Bible Study Series that has helped hundreds of thousands of Catholics learn to read the Bible. The Bible Timeline is a fascinating study that takes participants on a journey through the entire Bible. They will go deep into each period of salvation history and discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. Using a unique color-coded system, they will learn the major people, places, and events of the Bible and see how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our faith. The Bible Timeline has been granted the Imprimatur.

About This Organizer

Our hope at St. Vincent de Paul is to have the opportunity, for many consecutive years, to teach the principles of the Catholic faith in regards to doctrine, morals, and witness.

Our parish embraces the comprehensive model for our children's and youth ministry program. This model encourages spiritual development, social interaction and Christian ministry service. The programs St. Vincent’s provides opportunities in all these areas.

The Faith Formation program at St. Vincent’s is a co-operative effort between the Church staff, the parents or guardians, and the children. We are always seeking volunteers willing to share their faith. Please prayerfully consider ministry in our programs, and let us know by checking the appropriate lines on the registration form or contact the office. We will help you find a place where the stewardship of your talents can best enrich you and serve others.

Education in the faith by the parents should begin in the child’s earliest years. This already happens when family members help one another to grow in faith by the witness of a Christian life in keeping with the Gospel. Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God. The parish is the Eucharistic community and the heart of the liturgical life of Christian families; it is a privileged place for the catechesis of children and parents.  - Catechism of the Catholic Church 2226
