The Cape St. Claire Dolphins Swim Team, owned and operated by the Cape St. Claire Swim Club Inc., is a summer competitive swimming program that teaches the principles of teamwork and good sportsmanship, promotes a love for the sport, and advances aquatic skills. Children ages 6 through 18 who can swim one length of the pool, unaided, are eligible to join the swim team. The children receive endurance training, stroke refinement instruction, and improve significantly over the season.
The CSC Dolphins compete in the Greater Annapolis Swim League. Twenty local teams in four divisions comprise the Greater Annapolis Swim League (GASL). Division placement is determined by the previous year’s performance. Currently, CSC Dolphins occupy a spot in the Severn (2nd) division.
The season begins right after Memorial Day and ends the last week in July. Practices are held every weekday at the Cape St. Claire Swim Club, and meets take place on Saturday mornings or Wednesday evenings.
