Abs & Core for a Strong Back - TRY IT FREE
Tappan Middle School 2251 E. STADIUM BLVD ANN ARBOR, MI 48104 Organized by Ann Arbor Public School SystemAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 1 - 4. Most of our movement originates from our central core, even the simple act of picking up a pencil from the floor. Our core is pivotal in connecting and protecting the upper body, lower body, and spine. Keeping the musculature of the core strong is essential to our ability to carry out simple daily tasks with stability and ease. In this class you will work on strengthening your transverse, rectus, and oblique abdominal muscles as well as the glutes, thighs, and hip muscles - the entire pelvic girdle - to help strengthen your back muscles and protect spinal movement. Please bring your own mat, water bottle and light hand weights. Instructor: Donna Kujat, CPT, over 25 years of experience. 1 class.
This class is part of the FREE WEEK OFFERING 9/9 through 9/15. You must register to attend.
Residents in the AAPS district boundaries ages 65+ may be eligible for a 25% discount off one class per term. Registration must be completed over the phone (734) 994-2300 ext. 0, Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm. Please click on the following link for more information: Senior Adult Discount Policy
