BEGINNING PAINTING with Hope Riveron
Using watercolors or oils, this class will give hands on instruction for beginner painters. Class will cover the basics of painting in a laidback environment.
Ages 16+
Cost $160 Residents / $240 Non-Residents
$80 Residents / $120 Non-Residents (4 week)
Supply List: Hope Riveron
Brushes: Chinese bamboo sable hair or manufacture with white nylon or beige bristle: round no. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 0000, 00000
Wet wipes
Tooth picks
Cotton swabs
Paper towels
Students may choose to use either watercolors or oil paints.
Watercolor students: watercolor set with primary colors including black and white
Watercolor students: watercolor paper pad or sheets. Recommend 400 lb paper
Oil students: oil paint set with 24 color tubes
Oil students: oil palette (recommend oil palette box that can be closed to save paints)
Oil students: 2 piece stainless steel double dipper palette cup to hold oil paint solvent
Oil students: gamsol or citrus solvent
Oil students: Turpenoid odorless oil paint solvent
Oil students: 9 x 12 canvas, 11 x 14 canvas, and 12 x 16 canvas
