About this event
---Instructor: Frank Shutts---This course is designed for those new to acting and those who want to rediscover the basic roots of the acting process. Beginning with a brief introduction to play reading and script analysis, each student will learn how to build a character from what is given (the script) and from a creative and mature imagination as well. Basic stage and acting terminology will be taught; numerous acting techniques explored; and sensory and emotional recall will provide the tools needed to end the class with at least one fully developed monologue to take to auditions. The October 16th class will include an opportunity to sit in on a tech rehearsal of LTA’s Young Frankenstein, directed by the instructor.
