Description

Join public historian and educator Rich Gillespie to learn about and visit Loudoun?s historic landscape in this 13-part series that will get you out of the house and in to our vibrant and extraordinary community. Whether you?re new to our area, are curious about Loudoun?s past, or just wonder about Loudoun?s place in our nation?s history, this is an experience you won?t want to miss.

All sessions will include a field trip, and are taught chronologically. Among places used to teach the different eras of Loudoun?s past are Aldie, Lovettsville, Leesburg, Hillsboro, Ball?s Bluff, Middleburg, Upperville, Lincoln, and Purcellville, as well as a visit to nearby Harpers Ferry. Cost includes all course materials. Transportation will be provided by class participants and by car-pooling to keep the tuition for the class modest.
