Register today for the sixth annual Polly's Run, The Race to Cure Pancreatic Cancer. Polly's Run is taking place at Tiguex Park on May 30th. We have a brand new 5K course and Kids K this year, and we are really excited about the new location. Also, if you can't make it to the race, you can still participate in Polly's Run through the virtual run! We will mail you a tshirt and a bib (Domestic shipping only), and wherever you are you can get out there on May 30th and run for pancreatic cancer!Polly’s Run is an annual 5K and Kids K Road race honoring Polly Rogers, and all the loved ones we have lost to pancreatic cancer. The purpose of the race is to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research. The families and volunteers for this race would like to encourage you to support Polly’s Run through a donation, large or small.
Pancreatic Cancer is a type of cancer which affects about 44,000 people in the United States every year. It has the fourth highest number of fatalities every year among cancers, and 95% of people diagnosed with the disease eventually succumb to it. Diagnosing pancreatic cancer is very difficult and most patients go many months without knowing what is wrong with them. By the time it is accurately diagnosed it is usually too late. This race will help raise awareness in the community and provide a sports event for the individuals and families affected by pancreatic cancer and the professionals who work with them.
The proceeds from this event will support pancreatic research by donating 100% of the profits to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. It is a company dedicated to advancing research, supporting patients, and providing hope for the thousands of families affected by the disease.
We greatly appreciate your consideration and support for Polly’s Run. On behalf of all the families affected by pancreatic cancer,
