The York County Historical Museum welcomes runners to an 8K loop course on the scenic roads and trails of the Yorktown battlefield. Additionally, walkers are invited to a non-scored 5K event, covering an out and back, paved course over the battlefield. Events begin and end near Surrender Field. Parking and registration is at York High School. Later that day, join the friendly folks of York County for their July 4th Celebration!
A family oriented event for runners and walkers of all ages. The 8k looped route begins and ends at Surrender Field on the historic Yorktown Battlefied and runs along paved roads and gravel trail. This race is a competitive run; chute closes at 9:30AM. The 5K Family Fun Walk begins at 8:10AM. The out and back course is closed to traffic and is suited to all ages and abilities; it is a non-scored event. All finishers will receive commemorative ribbons.More than 800 runners/walkers participated in this race last year. Participation is capped at 1000. Register early to ensure your place.
