About This Activity

Get out and enjoy your winters in Maine, instead of feeling stuck in the house!!
Platform Tennis is an American racquet sport enjoyed by thousands of people of all ages. It is the only racquet sport that players can enjoy outdoors in cold weather. This unique appeal attracts people who desire fresh air, competition, and social engagement - all on a chilly winter's night.
The sport is played at private clubs, public facilities, and in backyards at both highly competitive and purely recreational levels.
We are very lucky to be able to offer this new program to the community of York.  This platform tennis program is being offered at the York Paddle Tennis Club which is located on Mill Lane off of Route 91 in York. Paddle tennis is an athletic experience   as  well  as  a  fun social  environment   for  you  to  enjoy throughout the winter. The club has one heated court and a brand new clubhouse overlooking fields and the court.
We will be offering this six week session on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30pm. You will learn to play the game through professional instruction and then have time to put what you've learned to play.  Additionally, you will be an invited guest on Saturday mornings from 9:00 - 12:00 to join in play at the club and also to participate in any other club events during the session you sign up for! Your registration fee will be deducted from your membership fee, if you decide you?d like to join the club after you take these lessons!
